Unaffiliated Congregation

Unaffiliated Congregation

B’nai Vail Congregation is a growing Jewish community in the beautiful Vail Valley, serving all of Eagle County. Within a supportive environment we seek to provide opportunities for Jewish learning, spiritual development, meaningful Shabbat, holiday services, mutual support and social activities.

B’nai Vail Congregation is intentionally not affiliated with any of the major Jewish movements. We recognize that diversity is inherent in our Jewish tradition, and diversity is welcomed at B’nai Vail. Our services and programs do our best to meet the wide range of Jewish needs – from people raised Conservative or Orthodox to the non-Jewish family members of many of our members.

Most importantly, B’nai Vail Congregation seeks to provide the opportunity for every Jewish person, family and interfaith family to BELONG to our community, so that they may connect with other Jews, regardless of the amount of time they spend in the Vail Valley.

Kohelet is an egalitarian, unaffiliated synagogue located in Central Denver. We do not have a rabbi or cantor. Our mission is to learn, to teach, to care for each other, and to make G-d and Torah part of our lives.

We celebrate weekly Shabbat services upholding traditional practices while adapting modern ways.Members lead services with chanting and singing throughout. We are proud to be a congregation diverse in age range, talents, observance and interests.
Services and all activities are built around volunteer leadership and input from the members. Join us for Shabbat services, Kohelet Talks, High Holidays observance, supper in the Succah, Passover community seder, study opportunities and a host of other ways of learning about and participating
in Jewish tradition and observance.
Shabbat services begin at 9:15 a.m. and an informal potluck dairy lunch follows the service. Membersinclude many young families and childcare is provided.
Our Bar and Bat Mitzvah program is unique as preparation is offered by congregation members. Service leadership and Torah study are part of this meaningful process tailored for each student.
Kohelet has a 35-year history of volunteer participation and leadership. We welcome all looking to participate in and deepen their experience with Judaism. Our building is more like home than an institution and we invite you to join us as we learn together and support each other as a community.
